How much money is a regular tip in the Maldives, 10%, 15%?

Actually tipping is officially discouraged in the Maldives. I mean i guess you can do it if you want but you don't really have to. The people that work for the resorts tend to make good money and tipping is simply not necesarry.

Tipping is actually discouraged in the Maldives. But if a staff of a resort goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable during your vacation then it wouldn't hurt to give him a token of appreciation. It's always good to reward people who do well in their job. :D
