Whats the time difference in the Maldives according to the greenwich mean time?

The Maldives is 5 hours ahead of the GMT (Greenwich Mean Time). But to offer the tourists the optimum use of the tropical sun most resorts have their clocks put forward one hour to GMT+6. So they can have one extra hour of fun in the sun!
