I know this type of fishing is very popular in the Maldives, but what is it exactly?

Big-game fishing is a form of recreational fishing that basically means you have to target large fish renowned for their sporting qualities and their great abilities to swim fast and be difficult to catch.

Certainly not common fish that you can fish anywhere; Big game fishing in the Maldives includes sailfish, huge tuna, wahoo, barracuda and jackfish just to name some.
