It is certainly not necesary if you don't want to; i mean you can get a speedboat ride anywhere you are going. Yet if your hotel is not located in the North Male Atoll or the South Male Atoll it is definately recommendable that you do take one so you can save up time. Plus the ride is pretty cool and you get a wonderful scenery.

Yeah of course, you don't have to worry about transportation of any sort once you get to the Maldives. The Maldives has one of the largest seaplane fleets in the world, not surprising for a country with 99% ocean and more than a thousand islands.

They sure are, and this is basically because the Maldives has one of the largest seaplane fleets in the world, like i said before. So they are very used to flying everyday all year round.

Bookings for seats or for private charters of seaplane can be organized from Male, from the airport or from the resorts. You just have to ask and the rest is easy like Sunday morning! :lol:
