Yeah, in the capital city of Male. Although Male is relatively small you may need the services of a taxi especially if it is raining. Although taxis can be hailed on the street the norm in Male is to call one of the many taxi centers that operate in the city.

In Male, the only place where you would need a taxi, they charge between 15 to 20 Rufiyaas per stop, with an extra charge of 5 Rufiyaas for luggage carried. Remember around 12 Rufiyaas is one dollar, so they are quite cheap!
